GIVING AID AND COMFORT TO THE ENEMY
or
TRAITORS IN OUR MIDST

On 5/21/04, Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said:"I believe that the President's leadership and the actions taken in Iraq demonstrate an incompetence in terms of knowledge, judgment, and experience," Pelosi told reporters gathered to hear her remarks.

"This President should have known ... when you decide to go to war you have to know what the consequences of your action are and how you can accomplish the mission," Pelosi said.

The House Democratic leader added, "There was plenty of intelligence to say there would be chaos in Iraq following the fall of Baghdad."

"Bush is an incompetent leader. In fact, he's not a leader. He's a person who has no judgment, no experience and no knowledge of the subjects that he has to decide upon."

"Not to get personal about it, but the President's capacity to lead has never been there," Pelosi said.

"In order to lead, you have to have judgment. In order to have judgment, you have to have knowledge and experience. He has none," she added.

In October 2003 Senator Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) said, "The trumped up reasons for going to war have collapsed," and "the President's war has been revealed as mindless, needless, senseless, and reckless."

Apparently the liberals don't see that accusations like these can only have a detrimental effect on the morale of our armed forces fighting "the President's war" How sad.

I was a Commissioned Officer in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and I can assure you that similar statements made by liberal politicians and peace protestors back then had a negative effect on the morale of military personnel and I can guarantee you the same is true today.

Title 18, Part I, Chapter 115, Section 2381 of the United States Legal Code defines "treason" in the following way: "Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason."

Senator Kennedy's accusations and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's comments are surely treasonous because they have given comfort to our enemies, who must surely think that they can force us to back down from them when they hear these vitriolic attacks. Their words have aided the enemy by sapping the morale of American troops facing them in Iraq and Afghanistan, and have aided the enemy but helping convince them that if they just hold out long enough we will get tired of things and will just go away as we did in Vietnam.

According to what the law says Senator Kennedy and Minority Leader Pelosi are traitors to the United States. They should be treated as such.
