TRASHING THE U.S. CONSTITUTION

(The McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Bill)

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Folks, the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Bill is now law. It is a law so repugnant to the concept of a free society that I am surprised there hasn't been a movement to go to Washington and tar and feather all those who voted for it. Here are a couple of restrictions it places on the rights of citizens to voice their opinions.

1. You may not get together with a group of like minded citizens and as a group contribute $250 or more to a candidate who opposes an incumbent politician, without first registering with the Federal Election Commission. There are no restrictions against contributing to an incumbent politician.

2. Within 60 days of an election you may not publicly criticize an incumbent politician. Only the media may do that. Again, there are no restrictions placed on incumbent politicians.

Atrocious, disgusting, evil, foul, hideous, loathsome, obscene, repellent, repugnant, repulsive, revolting, sickening, vile; pick your word, any or all of them can be accurately applied to this assault on the Constitution and the rights it gives to you.
